The Tri State Antique Fire Engine Association

PENNSYLVANIA-WEST VIRGINIA-OHIO

" PRESERVE, EDUCATE and APPRECIATE FIREFIGHTING HISTORY"

NEWSLETTER

The Tri-State Antique Fire Engine Association was formed in the Western Pennsylvania area in 1984.  It was started by a small group of fire buffs that shared their interest in antique fire apparatus and its preservation. Soon after, our society was charted and became another chapter of S.P.A.A.M.F.A.A. (Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America ), which worldwide has over 2,000 members.

The chapter holds meetings approximately every 3 months and has a summer picnic meeting.  We are also proud to sponsor of an Antique Fire Apparatus Muster in August of each year.

We also endeavor to assist antique fire apparatus owners in their interests of obtaining, restoring and showing their fire apparatus. This is accomplished by collaboration among our members, our meetings, our newsletters and the publication of our national publications (Enjine-Enjine and Silver Trumpet). The club also tries to arrange meetings at site with antique apparatus or other places of interest to members.

You do not have to own a piece of fire apparatus to belong to our organization; just have that love and deep interest in fire apparatus.  We also have as members, fire companies that own antique fire apparatus. Our membership reaches into four states, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and West Virginia .

We would like to take this opportunity to invite your company and/or any individual with an interest to join our organization.

Anyone interested can contact: Laurie for an application or information.
